Let’s play a game.
Audi A3. Ford Mustang Shelby GT/Bullitt. Mazdaspeed3. Mercedes Benz E320 CDI.
What do these four vehicles have in common?
You wanna know the answer? No, they have not been designed to wear truck parts. And no, they are not concept vehicles. Let’s just say that these four vehicles come equipped with engines belonging to Ward’s Auto World’s 10 best engines for 2008. And these engines come with a common denominator as well. They have been produced and manufactured by BorgWarner Engine Group.
The Audi A3 has the FSI 2.0 L turbocharged DOHC I-4 unit. The Ford Mustang Shelby GT/Bullitt has the 4.6 L SOHC V8. A 2.3 L DISI turbocharged DOHC I-4 has been equipped in the Mazdaspeed3. And the Mercedes Benz E320 CDI has been mounted with the 3.0 L DOHC V6 turbodiesel unit.
With their engines receiving such noble titles, the head honcho for BorgWarner is quite happy. And that goes for the rest of those employed by the company. After all, it is yet another feather in their cap. Tim Manganello, the CEO and chair for the company, shared via The Auto Channel, “About 70% of our global business is built on systems and components for engines. We are proud to contribute the important benefits of fuel economy, reduced emissions and enhanced performance to these notable powertrains.” And he even extends his kudos to the four car makers who have chosen BorgWarner’s engines for their vehicles.
It’s kudos to you all!
