Increasing 'Infiniti' Power

The redesigned 2009 Infiniti FX was officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show on March 4, 2008. The new FX will be offered as the FX35 and FX50. The 2009 FX35 is a 4-door, 5-passenger luxury sport-utility, available in two trims, the 2WD and the AWD. This car is a radical expression of sport and utility.

It offers an exceptional level of power; “The 2WD is equipped with a standard 3.5-liter, V6, 275-horsepower engine that achieves 15-mpg in the city and 22-mpg on the highway. The AWD is equipped with a standard 3.5-liter, V6, 275-horsepower engine that achieves 15-mpg in the city and 20-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims.” Each engine is paired with a standard 7-speed automatic transmission featuring Adaptive Shift Control.

The FX has its unique look that may be the key to its success. It features a dark chrome grille, double wave hood, strong front-to-rear shoulder line, integrated rear spoiler, power sliding moon roof. It’s made with lightweight aluminum-alloy hood and doors. And it has its hi-tech speed-sensitive windshield wipers with new aerodynamic flat blade wiper design, low-profile wiper arms and has its rain-sensing function.

The interior features a power-adjustable 10-way driver's seat, available manual thigh support with power bolster adjustment. It has a climate-controlled heating, cooling front seats and an Infiniti Intelligent Key with Push Button Ignition.
